From coffee table to a Digital Newcomer award

Tees Business marked BearTech's first year, from a conversation at the family coffee table to winning the Digital Newcomer category at the 2025 Tees Tech Awards. In little over a year the company had grown from its two founders into a full team, with the Jurana legal-automation platform and early enterprise work already behind it.

The feature also trailed a second company spinning out of that same coffee table, Automate Legal, and credited Teesside's collaborative business community for much of the year's momentum.
